As an HP Inkjet Operations Electronics Engineer based in Weihai, Shandong, China, you will play a pivotal role in HP's customer-centric culture, influencing the development of cutting-edge inkjet products that reshape printing technology worldwide. This onsite, full-time position involves up to 25% travel, offering the chance to innovate within a global network operating in over 170 countries. In this role, you will coordinate with internal and outsourced partners to support inkjet production from NPI through lifecycle end, lead Assurance of Supply initiatives to mitigate risks, and proactively address field and factory quality issues with robust mitigation plans. Key Responsibilities

  • Influence R&D and GBU in developing new inkjet products, services, and solutions for HP's Print portfolio
  • Coordinate and lead internal and outsourced development with manufacturing partners and suppliers for worldwide inkjet production from NPI through end-of-life
  • Support Assurance of Supply part qualification to mitigate product shipment risks from part availability issues
  • Lead initiatives to identify customer-impacting quality issues in field and factory, driving mitigation plans
  • Drive cost reductions through automation, design influence, manufacturing overheads, line tooling/test optimization, and warranty reduction
  • Advance Future Ready Transformation initiatives for HP's agile and resilient supply chain
  • Collaborate and communicate with management, internal teams, and outsourced partners on design status, project progress, and issue resolution
  • Provide engineering leadership to manufacturing partners, R&D labs, and global business units for timely NPI and robust product quality
  • Ensure great customer experiences through innovative manufacturing solutions
  • Act as team or project leader, facilitating decision-making and information validation across multiple teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline
  • Typically 3-6 years of work experience in engineering design, tools, and software packages
  • Or advanced degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in PCA process and PCA test solutions
  • Basic understanding of material properties, hardware, and electrical component design
  • Experience with engineering design tools and software packages
