About the Role

HP Inc. is seeking a talented HP Inkjet Operations Mechanical Engineer to join our Print Operations Inkjet Platform Engineering team in Weihai, Shandong, China. In this onsite role, you will provide end-to-end engineering leadership to manufacturing partners, R&D labs, and Global Business Units, enabling timely New Product Introductions (NPI) and ensuring robust product quality for exceptional customer experiences. You will champion cost reductions via automation, design enhancements, tooling optimization, and warranty improvements while collaborating across teams to communicate progress and resolve issues. This role impacts multiple teams, often acting as a project leader to facilitate decision-making in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. Key Responsibilities

• Influence R&D and Global Business Units in developing new inkjet products, services, and solutions for HP's Print portfolio
• Coordinate and lead internal and outsourced development activities with manufacturing partners and suppliers for worldwide inkjet product manufacture from NPI through end-of-life
• Support Assurance of Supply part qualification to mitigate product shipment risks due to part availability
• Lead initiatives to identify customer-impacting quality issues in field and factory, driving mitigation plans
• Drive cost reductions through automation, design influence, manufacturing overheads, line tooling/test optimization, and warranty reduction
• Collaborate and communicate with management, internal teams, and outsourced partners on design status, project progress, and issue resolution
• Provide engineering leadership to manufacturing partners, R&D labs, and business units for timely NPI and robust product quality
• Facilitate team decision-making and information validation as a project leader impacting multiple teams
• Respond to moderately complex issues within established guidelines
• Leverage HP's innovative culture to enhance customer experiences in inkjet operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Typically 3-6 years of work experience in engineering design, tools, and software packages
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic understanding of material properties, hardware, and electrical component design
• Experience with engineering design tools and software packages
• Ability to work onsite in Weihai, Shandong, China
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
