As an HR Business Partner Intern, you will collaborate with the Business Functions and Technology Strategy lead, HR teams, and managers across groups delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to HP. Dive into the goals, challenges, and needs of these teams, learning how HR strategies drive employee experience, innovation, and talent pipelines. Engage directly with employees through surveys, focus groups, interviews, events, and recognition programs. Lead diversity and inclusion efforts by conducting assessments, crafting action plans, and promoting best practices that align with HP's commitment to a collaborative, visionary workforce. This internship provides hands-on learning in a fast-paced setting, leveraging tools like Microsoft Copilot, PowerBI, and Excel to analyze data and recommend solutions. Network with executives, contribute to impactful projects—no busywork here—and participate in community and fun activities. Gain exposure to how technology impacts people and organizations, building skills for a future at HP where every voice matters in reshaping the world. The pay range is $23-$32 per hour, with comprehensive benefits for those working 20+ hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with HR Business Partners, specialists, and managers in the business function and technology group to understand goals, challenges, and HR alignment
  • Participate in HR projects enhancing employee experience, innovation culture, and talent development
  • Engage employees through surveys, focus groups, interviews, events, and recognition activities
  • Implement diversity and inclusion initiatives including assessments, action plans, and awareness campaigns
  • Analyze data and insights to inform HR recommendations and decisions
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across technology teams serving HP's global customers
  • Support technology strategy initiatives that drive HP's customer-centric innovation
  • Contribute to real-world projects balancing learning, impact, and networking
  • Organize community involvement and fun activities within the 12-week summer program
  • Leverage tools like PowerBI and Copilot for HR analytics and reporting

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year college, bachelor's or master's degree program in human resources, business administration, psychology, or information technology, and returning to school following the internship
  • Able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2025 without requiring sponsorship in the future
  • Strong interest and curiosity in technology and its impact on organizations and people
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Copilot, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to use data for informed decisions
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
