Key Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for Microsoft and Windows OS engagements, managing Performance and Power issues for HP Consumer PC products
  • Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to HP product stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at HP and partners (silicon vendors, IHVs) to isolate and resolve product issues timely
  • Perform testing and analysis to identify and resolve Performance and Power issues, ensuring market reliability and quality
  • Lead preparation of specifications and technical requirements for software systems impacting power and performance
  • Deep dive into specifications for new technologies in future HP products
  • Oversee team efforts to improve performance and reliability of HP's software systems infrastructure
  • Articulate and drive complex topics to resolution with Microsoft, representing HP's business needs
  • Provide timely status updates and mentor less-experienced staff
  • Proactively report risks and drive process improvements in HP's innovation-driven environment

Required Qualifications

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • Typically 7-10 years of work experience in systems engineering, computer programming, or related field
  • Expertise in complex software systems including Windows OS, middleware, firmware, and embedded systems
  • Proven experience in bug management, SW/HW feature enablement in the PC (Notebook/Desktop) industry
  • Strong experience with performance and benchmark tools such as Windows Performance Toolkit, HWInfo, CineBench, Mobilemark
  • Demonstrated ability to break down technical work into tasks, provide accurate estimates, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local language (Mandarin)

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, Microsoft 365 Certifications, ITIL)
