Key Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end biweekly and semi-monthly U.S. payroll runs in compliance with federal and state wage-and-hour laws
  • Validate earnings, deductions, taxes, benefit contributions, and final pay calculations
  • Review and reconcile payroll inputs from HRIS, Time & Attendance systems like Workday, and manual adjustments
  • Reconcile payroll prior to submission and validate output files post-processing
  • Act as liaison between Payroll, HRIS, IT, HR, Accounting, Tax, and Legal teams for system configuration, testing, and optimization
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll data across HRIS and vendor platforms
  • Participate in UAT for system releases, enhancements, and integrations; identify automation opportunities
  • Prepare scheduled and ad hoc payroll reports including registers, GL files, tax reports, and reconciliations
  • Support HR, Finance, and Tax with payroll data for audits, budgeting, and planning; track KPIs like error rates and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to IRS, DOL, state regulations; maintain audit documentation and support year-end processes
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and implement required payroll updates
  • Collaborate on process improvements and special projects to drive efficiency in HP's innovative payroll operations

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of U.S. payroll experience with expertise in full-cycle payroll processing
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws, wage regulations, and payroll taxation
  • Proven experience with multi-state payroll operations
  • Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis
  • High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and ability to handle confidential information

Preferred Qualifications
