Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day legal support to country management, business units, and functions in India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh
  • Drive high-value/risk commercial transactions, including program review, drafting, and negotiations for hardware, managed services, software, and professional services contracts
  • Deliver expertise in commercial law, antitrust, employment, real estate, litigation, and regulatory compliance across HP's portfolio
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure compliance with evolving legal requirements
  • Advise senior legal leadership on regional legal strategies and handle complex transactions and crisis situations using strong negotiation skills
  • Lead identification and resolution of intricate local legal issues requiring in-depth analysis and cross-functional collaboration
  • Develop and deliver training and guidance on legal topics to mitigate risks and enhance legal service efficiency
  • Provide institutional knowledge and fiduciary oversight on corporate governance standards, policies, and processes
  • Mentor junior team members to foster professional development within HP's legal function
  • Contribute to complex projects by developing new methods for recurring legal issues in HP's innovative technology environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Law
  • 8 to 12 years of post-qualification experience in commercial contracts drafting, review, and negotiations
  • Experience providing legal support to business units in multi-country operations, preferably in India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh
  • Proven track record handling complex, high-value commercial transactions in technology or hardware sectors
