About the Role

As the custodian of HP Inc.'s US GAAP Policy & Compliance, Corporate Financial Reporting (CFR) plays a pivotal role in ensuring revenue recognition aligns with US SEC and GAAP requirements. In this senior role, you will leverage your unique mastery in accounting principles to provide definitive guidance on complex sales transactions, customer contracts, and emerging business models. Collaborating with business finance and account management teams, you will proactively influence deal structures, lead global initiatives, and drive innovative solutions that support HP's customer-centric technology leadership. Operating in a Flex workstyle, you will contribute to large cross-division projects that shape our long-term strategic goals in a dynamic hardware and innovation ecosystem. Key responsibilities include delivering technical accounting consultations, maintaining ASC 606-compliant policies, analyzing nonstandard contracts, and supporting external audits while ensuring robust internal controls. You will author whitepapers, facilitate virtual cross-functional meetings, and provide training to empower finance teams worldwide. By monitoring new pronouncements and reviewing emerging models, you will safeguard compliance and enable self-sufficiency across HP's global operations. As a recognized authority, you will consult with directors and VPs, exercise independent judgment, and mentor analysts to foster process improvements that enhance efficiency and innovation in our technology-driven enterprise. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical accounting consultation and revenue recognition guidance on complex customer contracts and business deals
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess impacts on HP Inc.'s policies, reporting, and compliance
• Maintain and update comprehensive Revenue Recognition accounting policies in compliance with ASC 606
• Analyze material nonstandard contracts, deliver accounting dispositions, and support external auditor reviews
• Ensure compliance with internal controls for revenue recognition, including documentation for audits
• Review accounting implications of emerging business models and advise on compliance requirements
• Deliver ongoing training and support to global finance teams for policy and process self-sufficiency
• Influence and communicate HP policy updates quarterly to the wider finance community
• Lead regional and GBU initiatives, project manage whitepapers, and facilitate cross-functional meetings
• Drive process improvements and policy development impacting CFR globally
• Consult with business leaders to guide strategic decision-making on revenue-related matters
• Support ad-hoc projects like acquired company integrations and month-end close activities

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree or accounting certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• 10+ years of experience as a financial analyst in corporate accounting or financial reporting
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 Revenue Recognition standards
• Proven experience in technical accounting consultation for complex customer contracts and business deals
• Experience supporting external audits and maintaining internal control compliance
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects across geographies
• Strong background in process improvement and policy development in finance functions
• Experience in a global technology company environment, preferably with revenue-heavy operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the technology or hardware industry, with knowledge of emerging business models
• Prior work in Corporate Financial Reporting (CFR) or controllership organizations
• Certification in additional finance areas such as CMA or CIA
• History of authoring whitepapers or policy documents on revenue recognition
• Experience integrating acquired company policies and supporting ad-hoc initiatives
• Familiarity with HP Inc.'s financial policies and US SEC reporting requirements
