About the Role

As a Senior Technology Strategist in HP’s Technology & Innovation Organization (TIO) Strategy team, you will independently lead the development and articulation of enterprise-level strategy that shapes HP’s future technology bets. Sitting at the intersection of AI, software, systems, and business strategy, this high-impact role sharpens HP’s long-term aspirations, informs where-to-play and how-to-win choices, and defines new growth opportunities across emerging technologies and strategic whitespace. With hands-on experience in AI, ML, or edge technology from leading firms or high-velocity startups, you will connect customer pain points to use cases, business models, and technology stacks, crafting HP’s next-generation roadmap and actionable business plans. This high-visibility position delivers insights directly to HP’s executive leadership and Board, driving innovation in a customer-centric culture that reshapes how the world works. Key responsibilities include leading outside-in analysis on GenAI, edge AI inferencing, multimodal capabilities, and future compute platforms; building data-driven business plans with financial models and investment theses; engaging technical leaders on HP’s AI/ML and hybrid architectures; and maintaining ecosystem ties with startups, VCs, and hyperscalers. You will translate customer jobs-to-be-done into TIO roadmaps, develop compelling narratives for ELT and Board audiences, and influence cross-functional alignment to elevate HP’s strategic decision-making in AI and innovation. Success means independently shaping HP’s technology roadmap, bridging customer needs with HP’s stack, and delivering narratives used in executive discussions. HP’s legendary culture fosters collaboration, respects every voice, and provides global opportunities for career mobility. Join a company operating in 170+ countries, creating tools that advance professional development through relentless innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct segmentation, TAM/SAM modeling, business model evaluation, and scenario planning for next-horizon bets
  • Independently build robust, data-driven business plans—including financial models, adoption forecasts, value chain analysis, pricing/monetization frameworks, and go-to-market implications
  • Develop investment theses and strategic recommendations (build/partner/invest/acquire) including assessment of ecosystem dynamics and potential partners
  • Translate customer jobs-to-be-done and pain points into technology requirements that shape TIO’s architecture and product roadmap
  • Engage deeply with technical leaders to understand HP’s capabilities across AI/ML, compute systems, runtime optimization, model compression, device SW, cloud/edge hybrid architectures, and vertical workflows
  • Build credible, technically informed perspectives on how emerging technologies unlock new business opportunities
  • Maintain active engagement with startups, VCs, research labs, hyperscalers, and ecosystem partners to inform strategy and accelerate innovation
  • Develop crisp, compelling narratives for ELT and Board audiences—including framing, storyline, visualizations, and strategic implications
  • Synthesize complex technical and market signals into clear, actionable choices for HP

Required Qualifications
