Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and identify firmware pipeline components in the current 3D printing front-end and back-end workflows
  • Understand dependencies with the firmware development environment
  • Evaluate alternatives for building components in a host environment
  • Develop a Python framework for compilation and execution of 3D pipeline components offline
  • Enable rapid prototyping and R&D experimentation through the developed framework
  • Define and execute performance analyses of the 3D data pipeline
  • Identify potential hardware acceleration technologies such as GPU
  • Contribute to tools for analysis, management, performance evaluation, complexity assessment, and detection of mesh errors in 3D models
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary R&D team on 3D printing innovations
  • Support optimization efforts in the 3D printing pipeline area

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field at a university in Spain, remaining enrolled until the end of the internship
  • Available to start the internship in February 2026 and continue until June–July 2026
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Self-organized, responsible, and able to manage tasks independently
  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D data models, mesh processing, or graphics pipelines
  • Knowledge of firmware development environments or hardware acceleration technologies (e.g., GPU)
  • Prior exposure to performance optimization in software pipelines
