Our Personal Systems team prioritizes security, consistency, and holistic user interactions, empowering you to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. High-performing interns may convert to full-time roles (pending evaluation and headcount), but candidates must be U.S. work-eligible without future sponsorship needs, including no CPT/OPT support. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test UEFI/BIOS code for HP Workstations under mentorship
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware and firmware issues on personal systems
  • Gather and annotate training data for AI models enhancing hardware interactions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on real-world innovation projects
  • Analyze system performance and propose optimizations for customer experiences
  • Participate in design reviews and prototyping for edge AI-driven solutions
  • Document findings and contribute to team knowledge sharing sessions
  • Engage in networking events, executive speakers, and community involvement
  • Support security and consistency in hardware-software integrations
  • Apply classroom learnings to impactful projects advancing HP's technology leadership
  • Balance technical work with fun team-building activities

Required Qualifications

  • Currently completing 3rd year of Bachelor's or 1st year of Master's in a technical field
  • Eligible to work in the United States in 2026 without requiring sponsorship
  • No need for future work authorization sponsorship for full-time conversion
  • Pursuing a degree in a technical specialization relevant to hardware engineering
  • Available for a 12-week full-time summer internship in 2026
  • Able to work on-site in Corvallis, Oregon with flexible workstyle
  • Strong academic standing with demonstrated technical aptitude
