Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including MSAs, order forms, DPAs, and partner agreements for HubSpot's CRM and inbound marketing products
  • Advise Sales, Customer Success, and Partnerships teams on deal structures, risk mitigation, and compliance in a high-velocity sales environment
  • Support product launches and feature rollouts by assessing legal risks related to CRM integrations and inbound marketing tools
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure contracts align with HubSpot's HEART values and growth culture
  • Conduct legal research on emerging issues in SaaS, AI-driven marketing, and data protection regulations
  • Develop standard contract templates and playbooks to accelerate deal velocity while maintaining robust protections
  • Partner with external counsel on complex international transactions and M&A-related commercial matters
  • Monitor and report on commercial contract metrics to optimize HubSpot's legal operations
  • Educate internal stakeholders on best practices for inbound marketing compliance and CRM data usage
  • Contribute to HubSpot's culture of transparency by participating in legal team initiatives and knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience in commercial transactions, preferably at a SaaS or technology company
  • Strong understanding of SaaS agreements, including subscriptions, cloud services, and inbound marketing contracts
  • Experience advising on CRM integrations, data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and inbound marketing compliance
  • Proven track record of drafting, negotiating, and closing complex commercial deals in a fast-paced growth environment
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams
  • Excellent judgment and risk assessment skills in a high-growth SaaS context
