Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of HubSpot's Commerce platform, enabling seamless buying experiences for inbound marketing customers
  • Build and optimize scalable backend services for payments, subscriptions, and e-commerce workflows integrated with HubSpot CRM
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative commerce features that drive customer growth
  • Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering HubSpot's culture of transparency, experimentation, and high performance
  • Drive technical excellence by implementing best practices in code quality, testing, and CI/CD pipelines

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in backend or full-stack development
  • Deep expertise in building scalable commerce platforms, payment systems, or e-commerce solutions
  • Proven track record of leading technical projects in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
  • Strong experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and microservices
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor senior engineers and drive engineering best practices
  • Experience integrating with CRM systems like HubSpot or Salesforce
