Job Description

Senior Product Designer II, Segments

Location: Remote - USA

Department: User Experience

About the Role

At HubSpot, we believe in powering growth for millions of customers through our inbound methodology and all-in-one CRM platform. We're seeking a Senior Product Designer II for our Segments team within the User Experience department to craft exceptional experiences that help marketers create hyper-targeted customer segments, driving engagement and revenue. In this role, you'll dive deep into the complexities of customer data, designing intuitive tools that blend behavioral insights, predictive analytics, and inbound principles to supercharge growth strategies. You'll thrive in our HEART culture—where Happiness, Engagement, Adoption, Retention, and Task Success guide every decision—collaborating with product, engineering, and growth teams to ship features that scale with our customers' ambitions. Your days will be filled with user empathy: conducting research with marketers and sales teams, ideating on dynamic segmentation UIs, prototyping interactions for list building and audience orchestration, and iterating based on real-world usage data from HubSpot's vast CRM ecosystem. You'll lead design sprints, mentor peers, and contribute to our shared design system, ensuring every pixel aligns with HubSpot's flywheel philosophy of attract, engage, and delight. Expect to tackle challenges like simplifying advanced Boolean logic for non-technical users while integrating AI-powered predictions, all within an agile environment that values transparency, experimentation, and bold ideas. HubSpot's growth culture is legendary—fueled by HEART values, unlimited PTO, stock options, and a commitment to your professional evolution through Academy courses and global offsites. If you're passionate about UX that fuels inbound success, have 8+ years designing data-heavy SaaS products, and a portfolio showcasing CRM innovations, join us to design the future of customer segmentation. Together, we'll help businesses grow better.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for the Segments product area, from discovery and research to high-fidelity prototypes and launch

  • Design intuitive interfaces for complex segmentation logic, including dynamic lists, behavioral targeting, and predictive audiences
  • Champion HubSpot's HEART+ design framework to measure and optimize user experience across the customer platform
  • Create and maintain design systems, components, and patterns that scale across HubSpot's growth stack
  • Partner with growth teams to ideate and prototype features that accelerate customer acquisition and retention through inbound strategies
  • Facilitate workshops and design critiques to foster a culture of empathy, experimentation, and data-informed decisions
  • Analyze user feedback, A/B test results, and analytics to continuously improve segmentation tools
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to HubSpot's design community through blogs, talks, or HEARTcon
  • Ensure designs are accessible, performant, and inclusive, adhering to WCAG standards and HubSpot's design principles

Required Qualifications
