Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AI-powered tools that provide intelligent context and insights within HubSpot's CRM platform
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and designers to define and deliver features that drive inbound marketing success
• Develop scalable backend services using Python and integrate AI models (e.g., LLMs) for real-time user assistance
• Optimize AI systems for performance, accuracy, and cost-efficiency in a high-volume SaaS environment
• Implement robust evaluation frameworks to measure AI tool effectiveness and iterate based on user feedback
• Ensure AI features align with HubSpot's growth culture by enabling customers to grow revenue through smarter CRM usage
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, fostering a culture of continuous learning
• Partner with cross-functional teams to embed AI context into HubSpot's marketing, sales, and service hubs
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, leveraging observability tools for proactive improvements
• Champion best practices in ethical AI development, bias mitigation, and data security

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on building scalable web applications
• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js)
• Experience with AI/ML technologies, including large language models (LLMs), embeddings, and vector databases
• Proven track record of developing tools that enhance user productivity in CRM or SaaS environments
• Deep understanding of data privacy, security best practices, and compliance standards like GDPR
• Experience working in agile environments with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in AI, Machine Learning, or related field
• Prior experience at a high-growth SaaS company like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or publications in AI/ML conferences
• Familiarity with HubSpot's CRM APIs and inbound marketing workflows
• Experience with prompt engineering, RAG systems, or AI agent frameworks
