Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered tools that provide intelligent context and insights within HubSpot's CRM platform
• Build scalable backend services using Python and integrate with LLMs to enhance inbound marketing workflows
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and designers to define and iterate on AI features that drive customer growth
• Optimize AI models for performance, ensuring low-latency responses in high-volume CRM environments
• Implement robust data pipelines for handling customer data, embeddings, and vector search in real-time
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and champion best practices in a HEART-driven culture
• Experiment with cutting-edge AI technologies to innovate on context-aware features for sales, marketing, and service teams
• Ensure all AI tools adhere to HubSpot's security, privacy, and ethical AI guidelines
• Monitor and improve system reliability, scalability, and observability using modern DevOps practices
• Contribute to the broader engineering community through knowledge sharing and cross-team initiatives
• Analyze user feedback and metrics to refine AI tools that accelerate inbound revenue growth

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on building scalable web applications
• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js)
• Experience with AI/ML technologies, including large language models (LLMs), embeddings, and vector databases
• Proven track record of developing tools that enhance user productivity in CRM or SaaS environments
• Deep understanding of data privacy, security best practices, and compliance standards like GDPR
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams within a fast-paced growth culture
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field
• Prior experience working at a high-growth SaaS company like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or publications in AI/ML conferences
• Familiarity with HubSpot's CRM APIs, inbound marketing tools, and customer data platforms
• Experience optimizing AI models for real-time inference and low-latency applications
• Background in building context-aware systems or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
