Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain features for the Flywheel Delight team to enhance HubSpot's CRM and inbound marketing capabilities
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver customer-facing experiences that drive growth
  • Optimize application performance and scalability to support millions of inbound users
  • Write clean, testable code following HubSpot's engineering best practices and HEART values
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and agile ceremonies
  • Integrate with HubSpot's ecosystem of APIs, workflows, and third-party tools
  • Experiment with new technologies to improve developer and customer delight
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a high-availability environment
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
  • Champion inbound methodology in engineering practices to fuel HubSpot's flywheel
  • Analyze user feedback and metrics to iterate on features that create magical moments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building scalable web applications
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks like React
  • Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java, and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with CRM systems, APIs, and integrations in a SaaS environment
  • Proven track record of shipping high-quality code in agile, cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with performance optimization and debugging complex systems
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS or GCP
