Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for HubSpot's Account Insights platform
• Develop data pipelines to process and analyze customer account data for actionable insights
• Integrate with HubSpot's CRM to deliver real-time inbound marketing and sales intelligence
• Optimize system performance for high-volume data ingestion and querying
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and frontend teams to define feature roadmaps
• Implement robust APIs and microservices supporting growth-focused customer experiences
• Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance in line with HubSpot's HEART values
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews in our agile, flywheel-driven culture
• Experiment with new technologies to drive innovation in account-level personalization
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to maintain 99.9% uptime for global users
• Partner cross-functionally to align engineering efforts with HubSpot's inbound methodology

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on backend development
• Strong proficiency in building scalable backend systems using languages like Java, Python, or Go
• Deep experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including microservices architecture
• Proven track record of working with large-scale data processing and analytics pipelines
• Experience integrating with CRM systems and handling customer data insights
• Strong understanding of database design, SQL/NoSQL, and data modeling for high-volume insights
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment like HubSpot's inbound culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HubSpot's CRM API or similar inbound marketing platforms
• Familiarity with real-time data streaming technologies like Kafka or Apache Flink
• Background in machine learning or AI-driven account insights and personalization
• Contributions to open-source projects or publications in data engineering
• Previous role in a SaaS company focused on customer growth and analytics
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
