Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powering HubSpot's Intelligence Team features for CRM insights
• Develop robust data pipelines to process and analyze massive datasets from inbound marketing campaigns
• Optimize system performance to support real-time intelligence for customer growth and personalization
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Implement secure, reliable APIs that integrate seamlessly with HubSpot's CRM platform
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices in a growth-oriented culture
• Drive innovation in AI/ML integrations for predictive analytics and customer behavior intelligence
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system reliability using observability tools in production
• Contribute to code reviews, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality deployments
• Partner with sales and marketing teams to align engineering efforts with HubSpot's inbound growth strategies
• Experiment with emerging technologies to enhance HubSpot's competitive edge in CRM intelligence

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on backend development
• Strong proficiency in building scalable backend systems using languages like Java, Python, or Go
• Deep experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including microservices architecture
• Proven track record of designing and optimizing databases (SQL/NoSQL) for high-volume data processing
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and real-time analytics in a production environment
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, API design (REST/GraphQL), and security best practices
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams within a fast-paced growth environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with CRM systems like HubSpot or Salesforce
• Familiarity with machine learning pipelines or AI-driven intelligence features
• Contributions to open-source projects or publications in data engineering
• Previous role in a SaaS company focused on inbound marketing or customer growth
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
