Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powering HubSpot's Intelligence Team features for CRM and inbound marketing
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and frontend engineers to deliver intelligent insights for customer growth
  • Optimize data pipelines and APIs to handle massive volumes of marketing and sales data in real-time
  • Lead technical architecture decisions for microservices in cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of innovation and ownership
  • Integrate AI/ML models into backend systems to enhance predictive analytics for inbound strategies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, improving system reliability and observability
  • Drive experimentation and A/B testing frameworks to accelerate feature development

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on backend development
  • Strong proficiency in building scalable backend systems using languages like Java, Python, or Go
  • Deep experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including microservices architecture
  • Proven track record of designing and optimizing databases (SQL/NoSQL) for high-performance applications
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and monitoring tools
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience delivering data-intensive features in production
