Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that power HubSpot's CRM and inbound marketing platform
  • Lead the development of high-performance APIs to support millions of daily customer interactions

  • Optimize database schemas and queries to handle petabyte-scale data for global inbound marketing campaigns

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on backend development
  • Strong proficiency in building scalable backend systems using languages like Java, Python, or Go
  • Deep experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, data modeling, and high-volume data processing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with HubSpot's CRM platform or similar inbound marketing tools
