Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powering HubSpot's CRM and inbound marketing platform
  • Develop high-performance APIs and microservices to support millions of users and high-volume data processing
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and data scientists to deliver customer-facing features
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability for global inbound marketing workflows

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on backend development
  • Deep expertise in building scalable backend systems using languages like Java, Python, or Go
  • Proven track record of designing and optimizing high-performance APIs and microservices in a cloud environment
  • Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB)
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
