Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data integration pipelines using Haskell to connect HubSpot's CRM with external data sources
  • Develop robust ETL processes to ingest, transform, and synchronize customer data for inbound marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to define data requirements for growth features
  • Ensure high availability, low latency, and data accuracy in real-time integration systems supporting millions of customers
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in functional programming
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issues in production environments
  • Integrate with third-party APIs and services to enhance HubSpot's inbound marketing and sales automation capabilities
  • Contribute to the evolution of HubSpot's data architecture, focusing on scalability and performance
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, in our HEART-based culture

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on backend or data systems
  • Expert-level proficiency in Haskell, including functional programming paradigms, monads, and type systems
  • Proven experience building and maintaining high-throughput data integration pipelines and ETL processes
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, and real-time data processing
  • Experience with CRM systems, APIs, and third-party integrations in a SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented culture
