Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers building scalable features for HubSpot's CRM and inbound marketing platform
• Architect and design high-impact systems that support millions of users and petabyte-scale data
• Mentor and grow junior engineers, fostering HubSpot's HEARTWAY culture of humility, empathy, and transparency
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver customer-obsessed solutions
• Drive technical strategy, code reviews, and best practices for reliability and performance
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges in real-time marketing and sales automation
• Champion innovation in areas like AI-driven personalization and inbound growth tools
• Partner with other engineering leads to ensure seamless integrations across HubSpot's ecosystem
• Measure and optimize system performance using data-driven approaches
• Contribute to hiring top talent and building a diverse, inclusive engineering team
• Stay ahead of industry trends in CRM, cloud-native development, and growth marketing

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a technical leadership role
• Proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced SaaS environment
• Deep expertise in building scalable backend systems using languages like Java, Python, or Go
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and microservices architecture
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence across teams
• Experience with CRM systems, data pipelines, and real-time analytics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a growth-oriented culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a high-growth SaaS company like HubSpot
• Familiarity with inbound marketing tools and CRM integrations
• Advanced knowledge of HubSpot's tech stack (e.g., React, Node.js, GraphQL)

• Contributions to open-source projects or technical publications
• MBA or advanced degree in a technical field
