Job Description:

Electrical Engineer         

Huntsman’s Polyurethanes division is now looking for an Electrical Engineer in Caojing Site.

This role will:

organize Electrical equipment/system life cycle management to achieve reliable production, involved in the design, procurement, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that the Electrical equipment & system located at HPS Cao Jing site are following regulatory requirements, company EHS standard, industrial codes.

Electrical safety knowledge supporting while other sites need.

As the Engineer, your responsibilities are:  

  • to provide professional Electrical Management to secure technical integrity of the assigned assets to ensure safety and maximize plant reliability and efficiency.
  • To be responsible for process safety management compliance as it relates to mechanical integrity, engineering design, process safety information, maintenance procedures and all applicable document retention requirements.
  • To agree, monitor proper maintenance and engineering repair for field installed electrical equipment & system. Provide electrical expertise and technical support to the plant preventive maintenance, maintenance procedures and equipment operating procedures as required to ensure the safe, reliability and efficiency of electrical equipment & system.
  • To develop, make periodic update/revise related electrical standard procedures, work instructions which indicate regulatory change and/or practices to guide the maintenance, modification, improvement of electrical equipment & system.
  • Guild by supervisor to develop electrical spare parts strategy; cooperation with plant teams, purchasing team to maintain parts to meet plant maintenance and Turnaround.
  • Provide technical input to capital project design basis and support to develop project options, review electrical engineering drawings and specification sheets submitted by 3rd party to meet plant operation requirement.
  • Proactive to attend Root Cause Failure Analysis for electrical equipment & system to achieve better integrity.
  • Keep equipment failure repair records and inspection reports to meet national and company documentation control regulation.
  • Work closely with Process Engineers and Maintenance Engineers to keep plants in good condition to meet Safety and Production requirements.
  • Assist the TAR&MOC Engineer to plan and carry out Electrical tasks during major overhauls.
  • Follow instructions and perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
  • As backup of lead electrical engineer.

Knowledge / Experience / Skills Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Automation Technology with at least 3 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment & facility. 
  • Experience and knowledge of plant maintenance and Electrical codes for the process industry is very important.
  • Self-driven, teamwork oriented, and work under pressure.
  • Good communications skills at an operational level as required, oral and written skills are a necessity. Able to motivate, implement new policies and negotiation.
  • Must have a level of proficiency with internet, email, and Microsoft programs.
  • High &low voltage work certificates are required, it is better to have shift experience.
  • Good English is preferred.
  • Understand the ISO9001 standard and technical specification for ISO/TS16949

A detailed understanding of the electrical equipment & system and maintaining its integrity is of paramount importance.

The jobholder must have experience in the chemical manufacturing process model, maintenance management for process industry. The focus of the role is the application of a combination of individual & group skills, and tools & techniques, which together enable assigned electrical equipment& system to be integrity.

The job holder must show significant levels of interfacing skills which will enable assigned electrical equipment & system to be managed efficiently.

The jobholder must have an in-depth knowledge of discipline related to regulatory codes.

  • Provide electrical safety knowledge and support to other sites as needed
  • Monitor maintenance and engineering repairs for field-installed electrical equipment and systems to maximize plant reliability and efficiency
  • Develop, update, and revise electrical standard procedures, work instructions to reflect regulatory changes and best practices
  • Develop electrical spare parts strategy in collaboration with plant and purchasing teams to support maintenance and turnarounds
  • Provide technical input to capital projects, review engineering drawings and specifications from third parties
