Job Description:
Huntsman is seeking a Pricing Analyst supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in Heredia, Costa Rica. This position will report to the Pricing Analytics Team Lead.
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for managing sales pricing–related activities, ensuring correct and approved invoice pricing, credits, debits, rebates, and billing accuracy. This role also coordinates monthly sales order and billing close processes while ensuring compliance with internal controls and deadlines.
Review customer orders to ensure invoicing accuracy and on-time billing using SAP reports.
Research and resolve customer invoice disputes in collaboration with credit, customer service, sales, and finance teams.
Reconcile and invoice month-end billing activities under strict deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Review open orders and order changes to ensure correct pricing, fees, and accruals aligned with business requirements.
Verify and obtain approvals for manual pricing, payment terms, and other order-specific exceptions.
Process blocked orders by validating accuracy and ensuring timely billing.
Confirm proper invoicing and posting of accounting documents.
Research customer disputes and drive timely resolution through appropriate channels.
Ensure accuracy in accounts receivable and process customer adjustments in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
Maintain proper accruals and process rebate payments.
Reconcile prior-month sales, process month-end billings, and reconcile inventory balances.
Report trends in customer behavior and provide meaningful insights and analytics to business leaders and key stakeholders.
Develop strong understanding of the order-to-cash process and serve as a subject matter expert on customer accounts.
Continuously identify opportunities for process efficiencies and improvements.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.
Candidates must be willing to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at our office located in AFZ, Heredia. Additional office days may be required as needed or during corporate visits.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, Logistics, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Pricing, Invoicing, Order Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or Business Analysis.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to assess situations and develop effective solutions.
High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data, reporting, and processes.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge the status quo.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage repetitive tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and process-oriented mindset.
Experience in the chemical industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
Experience working with SAP Sales module or other ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).
Process improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement.
Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Language proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
