Job Description:

1. Job Description:

  • The job holder is fully responsible for the establishment and optimization of the production process technology system. lead the standardization of processes, tackle technical challenges, and manage the team to ensure efficient and stable production processes. Additionally, drive innovations in process technology to reduce costs and improve efficiency, support enhancing product quality and achieving production capacity targets.
  • The job holder fully oversees the planning, implementation and optimization of the TPU engineering technology system. Focusing on engineering innovation, integrate technology development, engineering implementation to ensure engineering projects meet technical standards, quality requirements and schedule targets. To drive innovations in engineering technology and cost reduction to support the company's production operations and strategic development.

2. Core Responsibilities

  • The jobholder will ensure that all activities within his area follow regulatory and company standards. He advises and will work in close co-operation with the EHS Manager when introducing new raw materials, equipment and / or processes.
  • Formulate and improve production process standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), establish process verification and optimization processes, and ensure the standardization and feasibility of process documents.
  • Lead major engineering projects management, from project initiation, scheme design, bidding and procurement to construction, commissioning and acceptance, fully control the schedule, cost, quality and safety to ensure the project is delivered on time and up to standard.
  • Tackling Technical Challenges: Lead efforts to resolve process bottlenecks in production, such as high product defect rates and low production efficiency. Organize the technical team to conduct experiments and improvements, verify and implement optimization solutions.
  • Process Optimization and Cost Reduction: Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process optimization. Reduce production costs (e.g., energy consumption, material waste) and improve production efficiency by optimizing process flows and material ratios.
  • Organize the team to solve technical problems in engineering implementation, drive innovations in engineering technology (e.g., introducing intelligent technology, optimizing engineering processes), improve engineering efficiency and quality, and reduce technical risks.
  • Build and manage the technology team, clarify team members' job responsibilities and performance goals, and develop training programs to enhance their process technology capabilities and professional qualifications.
  • Coordinate production, quality, R&D and other departments, allocate resources related to process technology, and ensure the smooth implementation of new process introduction and process changes to maintain production continuity.
  • Ensure process operations and engineering activities comply with industry regulations and corporate safety standards, participate in safety risk assessments, and develop safety prevention and control measures related to processes to avoid safety accidents.

3. Special Features

  • The jobholder must have expertise in twin-screw-extruder engineering, experience with extrusion quality control and deep knowhow in TPU manufacturing process as well as knowledge of polyester process, new lines commissioning and trial production.
  • Good IT skills are required to enable the use of software tools specific to a technical environment such as STATISTICS / Analyst tools for SPC / 6 Sigma.
  • The job holder requires flexibility in the light of changing situations, while fully maintaining legal and company standards. must be prepared to solve problems 24 hours a day / 7 days a week
  • Good written and oral communication skills in Mandarin and a working knowledge of the English language, presentation skills for internal business meetings and external customer meetings.

4. General Requirements

  • The job holder requires a BSc Degree in Chemical or Polymer Engineering.
  • Must have at least 8 years of technical experience in the polymer manufacturing industry, management experience with production and engineering is required.
  • Must have chemical industry experience with MOC, trouble shooting, root cause investigation for EHS, Process Safety, Quality and other areas.
