Role Overview:  

Huntsman Corporation’s Global Purchasing Team is seeking an experienced Regional Purchasing (Senior) Manager for our key manufacturing sites across the EMEA region.

The position will be based in Rotterdam or Krakow, reporting to the Senior Director Sourcing.

You will play a vital role in driving strategic sourcing, market intelligence, and cost management for all types of contracts with external suppliers across service and raw materials. You will act as a key interface between the Purchasing team, internal business stakeholders, and global/regional suppliers to ensure the reliable and cost-effective supply.

This position requires a data-driven mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of purchasing, contract management, and supplier relationship management within a complex and dynamic international environment.

We are looking for someone with subject matter expertise in contract management and negotiations specialty and petrochemical industries. Data driven decision maker and sensing market trends would be a key driver for the role.

Role Responsibilities: 

As a Regional Purchasing (Senior) Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Developing and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with business needs across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
  • Leading commercial negotiations and contract development with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Optimizing total cost of ownership and drive annual productivity improvements.
  • Ensuring products and process developments are based on secure, high-quality, and commercially viable sources
  • Collecting and analyzing data from various sources to identify market trends, cost drivers, and sourcing opportunities.
  • Providing pricing forecasts, cost models, and insights to support strategic planning and stakeholder decision-making.
  • Reporting raw material market intelligence and pricing updates to internal business teams.
  • Drafting and managing specifications and contract requirements for service and raw material suppliers.
  • Collaborating closely with internal business functions, including Supply Chain, Operations, Product Development, and Commercial teams
  • Supporting development of an integrated European supply chain to enhance EHS, quality, and customer service
  • Managing a portfolio of purchasing programs with a focus on risk management, synergy creation, and cost reduction.

Experience and Competencies: 

We are looking for experienced candidates with hands-on purchasing experience within international context.

What we are looking for: 

  • Education in Engineering/ Commercial will be a strong advantage
  • 6+ years of experience in a commercial/purchasing role within an international context.
  • Ideally about 15 years of overall business experience, including proven expertise in leadership, strategic planning, and operational management .
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with demonstrated data-driven decisionmaking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Power BI and SAP is highly advantageous.
  • Solid knowledge in budgeting, costing, contract management, and category sourcing.
  • Only experience in operational procurement won't be of value
