📋 Job Overview

As an Associate Quality Engineer - Automation at IBM, you will be part of the Business Transformation team, working in IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers to deliver technical expertise to clients globally. Your role involves planning, designing, automating, and testing solutions, as well as troubleshooting and developing automation strategies to enhance software development processes.

📍 Location: Bedford, CA (Remote/Hybrid)

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, automate, test, and provide industry leading solutions for clients
  • Troubleshoot development issues reported by project teams or clients
  • Evaluate functional and non-functional requirements for testability and suitability for automation
  • Provide effort estimates, Automation ROI, and benefit savings metrics
  • Apply automated tools to support testing across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Develop test automation strategy focusing on maximizing reuse for regression purposes
  • Develop and maintain appropriate automation frameworks
  • Implement automation strategy by developing, coding, and executing automated scripts using tools like HP UFT, Selenium, VB scripting, Cucumber, Gherkin, API, SQL, ETL, SAP, Parasoft, QuerySurge, and TOSCA
  • Support test team by recommending tools and processes to automate other test activities
  • Assist Test Manager with technical expertise in test planning
  • Lead and support the delivery automation team
