Candidate Engagement Specialist - Japanese Speaking

📋 Job Overview

The Candidate Engagement Specialist (CES) is responsible for generating candidates through direct sourcing and research, managing individual requisitions, and developing recruitment strategies. The CES acts as the first point of contact for candidates, engaging both passive and active talent, and works closely with Talent Acquisition Partners to meet delivery expectations and sourcing goals.

📍 Location: PETALING JAYA, MY (Remote/Hybrid)

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in role discovery meetings with Hiring Manager to agree on delivery expectations, timelines, and sourcing strategies
  • Consults with Talent Acquisition Partner on role requirements and market talent supply considerations
  • Develops comprehensive, innovative sourcing strategies including passive candidate outreach, recruitment marketing, and talent pool mining
  • Drives innovative programs, events, campaigns, and networking channels to build referrals and candidate pipeline
  • Conducts or orchestrates projects including email marketing, competitor organizational chart mapping, mapping target companies and associations, social media, cold calling, and social activities
  • Uses screening and selection criteria to identify qualified candidates and determine their strength
  • Acts as a brand ambassador to engage passive candidates and retain their interest
  • Sources, screens, and submits candidate short-lists to Talent Acquisition Partners
  • Prioritizes workload to meet weekly/monthly/quarterly production goals and revenue targets
  • Contributes to high client satisfaction levels to promote positive NPS scores, references, and case studies

✅ Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of recruitment experience for the Japanese market
  • Sourcing expertise in either an in-house, RPO or agency role
  • Fluency in English and native Japanese proficiency
  • At least 2 years of experience with direct sourcing methodologies and channels
