📋 Job Overview
The SAP AFC consultant at IBM is responsible for translating client closing processes into the AFC tool's logic and structure. This role involves process design and mapping, analyzing current accounting closing processes, identifying bottlenecks, and designing optimized processes in AFC. The consultant will work in IBM's Consulting Client Innovation Centers, delivering technical and industry expertise to clients globally.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Translate client's closing processes into the logic and structure of the AFC tool
- Analyze the current accounting closing process (as-is)
- Identify bottlenecks, manual tasks, and dependencies
- Design the optimized to-be process in AFC
- Implement and configure SAP HANA FIN FI solutions for clients
- Serve as an expert working directly with customers to deliver high-quality results and trusted business advice
- Understand and analyze business requirements
- Design and configure solutions
- Ensure successful project delivery
- Utilize business and industry knowledge, business processes, and techno-functional solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology solutions
✅ Required Qualifications
- Real experience configuring AFC, not just testing
- Strong understanding of financial closing processes (month-end, quarter-end, year-end)
- Experience configuring and supporting closing tasks, templates, and workflows within AFC or similar tools
- Good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance modules (FI/CO) and their integration points
- Ability to configure AFC task lists, task dependencies, preconditions, durations, scheduling, automated tasks, and team responsibilities
- Integration knowledge between AFC & S/4HANA / CFIN
- Ability to design month-end governance processes, including governance, controls & sign-off framework design
- English B2
