📋 Job Overview
As a DevOps Cloud Engineer at IBM, you will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. You will collaborate with development teams to optimize cloud environments and streamline deployment processes using automation and CI/CD pipelines. 🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, and Azure using Terraform and automation tools
- Implement automation and orchestration tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management processes
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions for automated testing and deployment
- Work closely with development teams to optimize application performance in cloud environments
- Manage and optimize containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), and service mesh solutions (Istio)
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Implement security best practices, including TLS, mTLS, certificates, encryption, IAM policies, and secrets management
- Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and scalability
- Participate in on-call rotation
✅ Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer
- Strong expertise in AWS, Load Balancers (ALB/NLB/ELB), IAM, Security Groups, and VPC networking (and similar components in Azure cloud)
- Expert-level knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Extensive hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS/AKS)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo, Helm, and Kustomize
- Familiarity with security protocols, encryption, transport layer security (TLS/mTLS), and certificate management
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and Python for automation
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated experience with AWS or Azure cloud or GCP
- Demonstrated experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools as Terraform
- Demonstrated experience with container technologies, Docker and Kubernetes
