📋 Job Overview
As a Java Tech Lead for a financial institution at IBM Consulting, you will lead a team of up to 9 Java developers in modernizing legacy Java applications from WebSphere Portal to a new environment. This role involves coordinating technical activities, ensuring timely delivery, and integrating applications with the front end layer, all while working from the client's premises in Bucharest three days a week.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day technical activities of a team of up to 9 Java developers
- Ensure timely delivery of the refactoring of old Java applications to newer versions
- Ensure solid integration between applications and the front end layer
- Migrate legacy Java apps from WebSphere Portal to a new modern environment
- Modernize applications and update them with additional REST services
- Extend the client's main website and automate new processes

- Hands-on experience as a Java team lead
- Experience in managing and coordinating technical activities of a development team
- Experience in refactoring old Java applications to newer versions
- Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures
- Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot integration solutions in a private cloud environment
- Experience with Java/JEE technology stack and frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JSF
- Experience in transaction management, managing Java objects, and enterprise integration
- Comprehensive understanding of dependency injection, aspect oriented programming, functional programming, test-driven development, data access framework, transaction management framework, and batch processing
