📋 Job Overview
The Network Security Consultant - L3 at IBM is responsible for the administration and management of multiple network security technologies, including firewalls, F5 WAF, F5 SSLO, and others. The role involves managing cloud security on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, handling escalated issues, and providing SME support. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of industry experience in network security engineering.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Administration and management of technologies like Firewall, F5 WAF, F5 SSLO, Ant-DDoS, Packet Broker, Anti-Apt, IPS, etc.
- Managing cloud security on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Complete administration including creation, modification of rules and configuration, system upgrades
- Handling escalated calls and providing SME support
- On-boarding new applications in F5 SSLO, F5 WAF, Packet Broker and handling critical issues
- Serving as a single point of contact for mentioned technologies
- Incident management and timely escalation of incidents
- Assisting in creation of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with Level 2 and Level 3 engineers
- Performance tuning of WAF, Firewall, and other network security devices
- Working on assigned tickets within agreed timelines/SLAs
✅ Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of industry experience as a Network Security Engineer
- Experience in design, implementation, and troubleshooting of firewalls, load balancers, and other network security devices
- Experience with Site to Site VPN (IPSEC VPN)
- Experience with cloud security on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of web technologies and concepts
- Experience in OWASP Risks, Vulnerabilities, and Mitigation Mechanisms
- Understanding of Anti-DDoS techniques and mitigation mechanisms
- Adherence to ITIL process with zero noncompliance
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and working experience with F5 Load Balancers, Citrix Netscaler, and WAF
- One or more security certifications such as CEH, Security+, GSEC, GCIH, OEM Certification from Cisco, F5, Imperva, etc.
