📋 Job Overview

As a Platform Developer within IBM Client Engineering, you'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team co-creating solutions with clients to solve their business challenges. You'll leverage hybrid cloud and AI technologies to deliver unique client experiences and prove business value. This fast-paced, supportive sales environment will help advance your career through excellent onboarding and ongoing development.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage contemporary hybrid cloud skills (AI, analytics, DevOps, DevSecOps, IaC, security, networking, storage) with deep industry expertise
  • Define and communicate the differentiated value of IBM's technology both technically and commercially
  • Participate in client sessions involving public and hybrid cloud technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, IBM Cloud Paks, Kubernetes
  • Support solutions architecture plan and be a hands-on 'builder' in client-facing engagements
  • Advise on solution architecture to align with platform best practices and ease transition to deployment
  • Provide seamless transition to clients by working with deployment teams
  • Contact and engage potential new customers and deliver an elevated experience
  • Achieve sales, business objectives and high client satisfaction
  • Demonstrate strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills with an agile process

✅ Required Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent technical degree/experience
  • Working knowledge in at least one common cloud native programming language (Java, Python, HCL, Rust, Ansible, or similar)
  • Experience in deploying and operating solutions on AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud
  • Ability to work in Canada without sponsorship

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g. CNCF, AWS, IBM Cloud, Azure, Google Cloud, DevOps)
