SAP FI/CO Functional Consultant
📋 Job Overview
As an SAP FI/CO Consultant at IBM Consulting, you will lead and support SAP FI/CO design and configuration across various financial processes, working closely with client stakeholders to translate business needs into SAP solutions. You will be involved in system upgrades, integration with other SAP modules, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support SAP FI/CO design and configuration across Plan-to-Report (P2R) process areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Controlling
- Work with client finance stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into SAP-enabled solutions aligned with best practices
- Configure and optimize core FI/CO processes such as invoice processing, payment runs, credit management, financial close, and reporting
- Support integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, HR, and Concur) to enable seamless end-to-end financial processes
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and SAP S/4HANA transformation projects
- Prepare functional specifications, perform unit and integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Collaborate with technical (ABAP) and data teams to ensure accuracy of postings, reconciliations, and financial reporting outputs
- Develop and deliver end-user training and documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process automation, and financial analytics enablement
✅ Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on SAP FI/CO configuration and support experience
- Strong functional knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting
- Experience with Plan-to-Report (P2R) process design, including integration points with other business process areas
- Demonstrated ability to gather and translate business requirements into effective SAP system solutions
- Excellent analytical, communication, and client-facing skills

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance or Central Finance
- Knowledge of SAP Concur and integration between Travel & Expense and Finance systems
