As a Senior Software Developer in the Db2 for z/OS team at IBM, you will develop and maintain the Db2 product, focusing on designing, implementing, and testing new features to meet client needs. - Developing and maintaining the Db2 product on the z/OS platform
- Designing, implementing, and testing new features to meet client needs
- Collaborating with client and client success teams to resolve customer problems
- Delivering potential new enhancements with high quality
- Creating function test cases to ensure code changes meet customer and internal requirements
✅ Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10-15 years of relevant software development experience
- Programming skills in Assembler, PL/X
- Proficiency in source control management tools (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)
- Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills
- Knowledgeable about Db2 database or RDBMS concepts, SQL databases
- Familiarity with agile software development processes
- Good communication skills and fluency in English
- Flexible working schedule to collaborate with developers and teams located across different time zones
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field
