Senior Support Engineer

📋 Job Overview

As a Senior Support Engineer at IBM, you will be a key member of the Global Support & Services organization, focusing on troubleshooting complex issues related to Vault and Vault Enterprise. You will engage directly with customers to resolve technical support requests within SLA, contribute to product development, and enhance customer satisfaction. This role offers an opportunity to impact HashiCorp's growing business and work closely with both support and engineering teams.

📍 Location: Multiple Locations (Remote/Hybrid)

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Reproduce and debug customer issues using test environments and tools
  • Communicate effectively with customers to gather information, provide diagnostics, and resolution steps
  • Solve incoming technical support requests within SLA, including high-severity urgent cases
  • Increase knowledge and train the team on Vault and related technologies
  • Identify and communicate product usage trends, bugs, and feature requests
  • Collaborate with account managers for customer debugging calls
  • Document all customer interactions according to security standards
  • Contribute to product documentation and customer knowledge base
  • Improve processes and tools in collaboration with the team
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production-down issues
  • Provision and bootstrap a Vault cluster
  • Prepare for and complete the Vault Certification Exam

✅ Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical support or software engineering
  • Proven experience with Vault and Vault Enterprise
  • Strong understanding of HashiCorp Product Suite
