📋 Job Overview
As a Site Reliability Engineer at IBM, you will work in an agile environment to build, deploy, configure, and maintain systems for IBM's client business. You will lead problem resolution processes, from analysis and troubleshooting to deploying software updates and fixes, ensuring continuous reliability and optimal customer experience.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the health of production systems and services around the clock to ensure continuous reliability and optimal customer experience
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide initial assessments and possible workarounds for production issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively
- Leverage Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools to deploy services and configuration changes at enterprise scale
- Implement security measures that meet or exceed industry standards for regulations such as GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, and FBA
- Apply Couchbase security patches and upgrades, support Cassandra and Mongo for pager duty rotation, and collaborate with Couchbase Product support for issue resolution
✅ Required Qualifications
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu)
- Experience with ELK/EFK stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash/Fluentd, and Kibana)
- Strong skills in monitoring/observability, issue response, and troubleshooting for optimal system performance
- Proficiency in automation for production environment changes
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Demonstrated experience in handling day-to-day operations, alert management, incident support, migration tasks, and break-fix support
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- Strongly preferred experience in working with production Kubernetes/OpenShift environments
- In depth experience with Ansible, Python, Terraform, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, IBM Continuous Delivery, ArgoCD
- Hands on experience crafting alerts and dashboards using tools such as Instana, New Relic, Grafana/Prometheus
- Experience working in an agile team, e.g., Kanban
