📋 Job Overview
Join IBM's HashiCorp Nomad team to enhance cloud solutions, focusing on infrastructure lifecycle management and security. Contribute to building and maintaining Nomad, a distributed cluster orchestrator, and work on advanced scheduling and service segmentation. This role involves developing next-generation distributed systems and interfacing with internal teams and the Nomad community.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Work on next-generation distributed systems for orchestration
- Develop novel algorithms within the context of our tools
- Build and architect systems for managing extremely large-scale global fleets of resources
- Interface directly with internal teams, users, HashiCorp customers, and the Nomad community
- Own the full lifecycle of feature development from design through testing and release
- Program in Go, learning from and contributing to a team committed to continually improving their skills
- Be available for an on-call rotation as third tier support of the product
✅ Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development
- Basic understanding of cluster orchestrators and schedulers (Borg, Kubernetes, Mesos etc.)
- Experience with container technologies: Linux, CGroups, Docker, Podman, etc.
- Prior experience working in high performance or distributed systems
- Comfortable with low-level programming or excited to learn
- Able to knowledgeably discuss design and performance tradeoffs in complex systems
- Exhibit ownership in work, including research, collaboration, communication, and feature completion
- Familiar with HashiCorp/IBM products & services
