📋 Job Overview
The Security Analyst (L2) at IBM is responsible for protecting the organization from cyberattacks by monitoring systems, evaluating threats, and installing necessary security software. The role involves identifying and mitigating network vulnerabilities, documenting security breaches, and developing best practices for IT security. This position requires collaboration with the security and infrastructure teams to maintain high security standards.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Review computer networks and identify potential risks/vulnerabilities
- Install necessary software to protect from unauthorized access
- Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause
- Work with the security/infra team to perform tests and uncover network incidents & vulnerabilities
- Fix detected malware/threats/vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
- Stay current on Information Technology (IT) security trends and news
- Develop company-wide best practices for IT security
- Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management
- Monitor computer networks & endpoints for security issues
- Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
- Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs
✅ Required Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Security Analyst or similar role
- Experience in information security or related field
- Experience with computer network/endpoint Security testing and techniques
- Understanding of Firewalls, Proxies, Antivirus and VAPT concepts
- Ability to identify and mitigate network risks/vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them
