Position Summary

Sonoco is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician for our Oakdale, CA facility. Reporting to the Lead Electrician, you'll install and maintain high-speed industrial process equipment for can, end making, coat/coil, and lithography services. This full-time role offers a competitive wage of $40.14/hour, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and a swing shift schedule from 3:30pm to 12am. Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems in equipment like gas mixers, burners, de-ionized water units, air compressors, and plant lighting.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair solid state circuits, circuit boards, logic boards, transducers, amplifiers, and complex timing devices.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all assigned electrical systems.
• Program PLCs for optimal equipment operation and assist in designing new electrical procedures.
• Identify electrical inefficiencies and coordinate resolutions through supervisor.
• Maintain safety standards and foster positive work relationships.

Required Qualifications

• Proven industrial electrician experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Skill in handling complex electrical issues, escalating only the most challenging to higher levels.
• Strong communication skills and comprehensive electrical knowledge.
