Position Summary
The Industrial Electrician reports to the Plant Engineering Supervisor and plays a critical role in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining production and facility electrical equipment. This full-time, mid-level position features a night shift schedule (10pm - 6am) with competitive pay starting at $39.99/hour. Ideal for skilled electricians experienced in PLC programming, HMI, and industrial networking seeking stable careers in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems in equipment like gas mixers, air compressors, burners, and plant lighting.
- Troubleshoot and repair solid-state circuits, PLCs, transducers, amplifiers, and inspection devices.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and identify electrical inefficiencies.
- Program PLCs for optimal equipment operation and assist in new installations.
- Ensure safety compliance, including NEC standards, hazardous materials, and confined spaces.
- Work overtime as needed and foster positive team relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent experience with 2+ years in industrial electrical work.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens), HMI, and networking.
- Expertise with multimeters, AC/DC motors, wiring schematics, and electrical-mechanical devices.
- Knowledge of safety practices, NEC, and troubleshooting logic for complex systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
