Position Summary
Sonoco is seeking a full-time Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician at our Hartselle, AL facility. This role focuses on maintaining manufacturing equipment through troubleshooting and repairs, working independently or in teams. Enjoy a 4a-2p shift with some overtime, competitive pay of $31.80-$33.50/hour, and comprehensive benefits. Key Responsibilities
As an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech, you'll troubleshoot and repair equipment like conveyors, cutters, stampers, and punches; repair electrical components and basic plumbing; perform MIG/TIG welding; use automated diagnostics; adhere to safety protocols; maintain accurate records; and contribute to continuous improvement projects. Other duties support our high standards of operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), one year of manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude with blueprint reading, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, hand tool proficiency, ability to lift 50 pounds, and excellent communication/organizational skills. Must pass drug screen and background check. Experience in industrial settings is key for success.
