Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech I (IMRT I) role in Conyers, GA, reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. This 2nd shift position (starting at $30.84/hour including shift differential) focuses on proactive maintenance tasks to ensure high-quality, efficient production. Safety, quality, productivity, and a strong work ethic define our ThermoSafe culture. Key Responsibilities
As an IMRT I, you'll:
- Install and maintain auxiliary equipment to support production needs.
- Repair utility and facility equipment under Plant Engineer direction.
- Assist and train peers on repairs, preventive maintenance (PMs), and rebuilds.
- Collaborate across departments for proactive issue resolution.
- Manage small equipment upgrade projects.
- Maintain a safe, clean workspace and uphold Sonoco's quality/safety standards.
Required Qualifications
We're seeking candidates who:
- Have industrial or military experience troubleshooting/repairing manufacturing equipment.
- Preferably skilled in PLC troubleshooting, industrial/motor controls.
- Are physically capable: using lifts/ladders, kneeling/bending/twisting, lifting 50 lbs.
- Thrive independently on off-shifts with rotating schedules, overtime, and weekends.
Comfort with mechanical tasks and a proactive mindset are key.
