Position Summary

Join Sonoco as an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech I (IMRT I) in Conyers GA. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you'll perform proactive maintenance tasks to ensure high-quality efficient and timely shipment of Sonoco products. This 3rd shift role starts at $30.84 per hour (including $1.50 shift differential) in a safety-focused culture prioritizing quality productivity and strong work ethic at our ThermoSafe facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain auxiliary equipment as required by production.
• Maintain and repair utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
• Assist and train other maintenance personnel with repairs preventive maintenance (PMs) and rebuilds.
• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions.
• Maintain a safe clean and organized work area.
• Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
• Perform all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting industrial and motor controls preferred.
• Comfortable using mechanical lifts ladders kneeling bending and twisting; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work independently manage multiple tasks on off shifts with rotating schedules requiring overtime including weekends.
