Position Summary

Join Sonoco as an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech in Munroe Falls, OH. Reporting to the Plant Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform proactive maintenance tasks to ensure high-quality, efficient, and timely shipment of Sonoco products. Safety, quality, productivity, and strong work ethics are pillars of our culture. This full-time, mid-level role offers 1st or 3rd shift with required overtime flexibility and pays $31.15/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production.
• Maintaining (grease, lubricate, PM) and repairing utility and facility-related equipment.
• Assisting/training other maintenance personnel with repairs, PMs, and rebuilds.
• Collaborating closely with departments for proactive problem resolutions.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, organized work area and managing small projects.
• Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.

Required Qualifications

• Industrial or military experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• PLC troubleshooting, industrial/motor controls preferred.
• Physical ability: mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending, twisting; lift 50 lbs.
• Work independently on off-shifts, rotating schedules, overtime/weekends.
• Read blueprints, electrical drawings, ladder diagrams.
• Operate forklift and skyjack; understand three-phase motors and control circuits (PLC, latching, NPN/PNP).
