Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician at Sonoco's Hartselle, AL facility (A504 Plugs) reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and plays a critical role in achieving high equipment reliability. This night shift position (12-hour rotating schedule, 6p-6a) focuses on maintaining equipment, minimizing downtime, troubleshooting issues, and driving reliability improvements. Pay range: $32.60-$36.96/hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies, lead by example, and reduce risks in behavior, equipment, and processes.
• Repair and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping systems using proper lubrication and OEM specs.
• Troubleshoot issues quickly, implement fixes, and document to prevent repeats.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance and participate in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
• Maintain tool/part inventories, ensure housekeeping, and fabricate/install equipment.
• Communicate with operations to resolve degraded conditions impacting safety, quality, or productivity.

Required Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and reliability mindset.
• Ability to read schematics and precision install systems.
• Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
• Potential for promotion and implementing change.
