Position Summary

Sonoco is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician I for our second shift in Hillview, KY. Reporting to your supervisor, you'll focus on proactive maintenance tasks to ensure efficient, high-quality production and timely product shipments. This full-time role offers $28.02/hour plus $2.00 shift differential, with Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts and potential overtime. Ideal for those with industrial or military experience passionate about equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain auxiliary equipment to support production needs.
• Repair and maintain utility and facility-related equipment under Plant Engineer direction.
• Assist and train fellow maintenance staff on repairs, preventive maintenance (PMs), and equipment rebuilds.
• Collaborate across departments for proactive issue resolution.
• Manage small projects for equipment maintenance and upgrades.
• Uphold Sonoco's safety, quality, and cleanliness standards in your work area.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment in industrial settings.
• Preferred: PLC troubleshooting and industrial/motor controls experience.
• Physical ability to use mechanical lifts, ladders; kneel, bend, twist; and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Self-starter comfortable with independent work on off-shifts, rotating schedules, overtime, and weekends.
• Strong work ethic emphasizing safety, quality, and productivity.
