Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician reports to the Plant Engineer and ensures maximum equipment reliability through advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant systems. You'll support the Sonoco Performance System (SPS), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Maintenance Excellence processes to minimize downtime and maintain 'Like New' equipment condition. Primarily 1st shift with overtime flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute preventive/predictive maintenance and document for analysis
- Troubleshoot/repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, robotic equipment
- Perform precision welding, fabrication, and OEM installations
- Develop PLC programs and service AC/DC drives/motors
- Lead safety practices and participate in FMEA/RCCA activities
- Maintain exceptional housekeeping and proper tool usage
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
- 4+ years manufacturing maintenance or military technical experience
- Expertise in schematics, shop tools, lubrication, and reliability improvement
- Strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving
