Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician (IMRT) reports to the Maintenance Lead and focuses on proactive maintenance tasks to ensure efficient, high-quality production and timely shipments. This off-site role in Onslow County involves day shifts with medium travel, overnight stays, overtime, and weekends. Emphasizing safety, quality, productivity, and work ethic, you'll play a key role in maintaining Sonoco's reputation for excellence. Estimated salary: $53,664 - $63,941 USD annually.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain auxiliary equipment required by production.
• Maintain and repair utility and facility-related equipment as directed.
• Assist and train other maintenance personnel with repairs, preventive maintenance (PMs), and rebuilds.
• Collaborate closely with departments for proactive problem resolutions.
• Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area and adhere to all quality and safety policies.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in industrial environments or military background.
• Proven skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Preferred: PLC troubleshooting and industrial/motor controls experience.
• Physical ability: Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending, twisting; lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Independent worker managing multiple tasks in off-site positions with rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and medium travel.
